Pastor Wonah , P/ A to the former MD Bows Out of Service at 60, Thank God for uncommon Mercy.

A heartwarming celebration marked the 60th birthday and retirement of Pastor Peter Onah Wonah from civil service, as family, friends, church members, and colleagues gathered to honor his life of service and dedication. 

The event, attended by prominent figures, including the wives of the Former Medical Directors, Dr  Monsurat Titilayo Olomu,  Pastor Mrs Priscilla  Motayo, and representatives from the Federal Medical Centre Idi-aba Abeokuta, witnessed songs of praises and thanksgiving to God.

Pastor  Wonah’s biography is a testament to his resilience and determination.

Having lost both parents at a tender age, he persevered through the odds, sustained by God’s grace and his unwavering resolve to succeed. Throughout his journey, he has remained committed to spreading mercy and kindness, earning him the admiration of all who came close to him.

The celebrant was described by attendees as humble, kind-hearted, and always ready to lend a helping hand. Pastors from various parishes offered prayers for his long life and good health in retirement. 

The Head of Department, Information and Public Relations at FMCA, Dr. Segun Orisajo, represented the hospital management committee at the event, which further underscored the respect and appreciation for the retiree’s contributions to the growth and development of the Centre.

The celebrant could not hold back tears as he praised God for his life, appreciating everyone that has contributed one way or  the other to his existence especially his wife whom he lavishly eulogized for her steadfastness. 

Pastor Wonah joined the services of the Centre  in May 2007 as an Administrative Officer II and rose through the ranks to retire as Assistant Director of Administration.

The celebration featured the cutting of cake, photo session and songs of praise, as attendees lauded his dedication and service. 

The atmosphere was filled with joy and gratitude for the life and legacy of Pastor Peter Onah Wonah.
