Nigerian Dental Association Meets with FMC Abeokuta Management for Continue Collaboration.

The Nigerian Dental Association, Ogun State Chapter, has paid a courtesy visit to the management of the Federal Medical Centre Abeokuta (FMCA) in a bid to strengthen ties and explore new avenues for collaboration.

Led by the new chairman, Dr. Juliana Inotu, the association’s delegation met with the Acting Medical Director, Dr. Adekunle Adediran, and other key officials.

The visit aimed to familiarize the association with the management and express gratitude for the support given to its members.

Dr. Adediran assured the association of continued support for the Dental Surgery department, emphasizing its integral role in the hospital. He also welcomed the opportunity to work closely with the association to improve dental care services.

The association requested the management’s assistance in deducting monthly dues from members’ salaries through the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS). The Director of Finance, F.A. Oladipupo, promised to look into the request.

The Immediate past chairman, Dr. Ibiyemi Oduyemi, also raised the issue of residency programs for dentists, urging the management to consider implementing such programs to enhance the skills and expertise of dental professionals, to put a stop to experts deficit. 

The meeting ended on a positive note, with both parties expressing optimism about the potential for future collaboration and mutual benefit.
