BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT
Preventive dentistry department was created along with other three (3) departments from the old Dental Services Department of the hospital by immediate past HOD of Dental Services in person of Dr. S.T. Ibiyemi. The creation was approved by the Hospital Board Management with effect from 1st September, 2020.
Preventive dentistry department is responsible for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of various diseases
that affects the mouth, teeth and their supporting structure.
PROFILE OF THE HEAD OF DEPARTMENT
Dr. Aliu Abu obtained Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.DS) Degree from University of Ibadan in May 2003.
He is a Fellow of Medical College in Dental Surgery (FMCDS) acquired in November, 2012.
